I’ve been amazed over the past 8 years or so how comic books, especially Marvel Comics, have become a core component of our popular culture. Whether you are a fan or not, you have to admire the job that the Marvel team has done creating and sustaining the Marvel Universe and the impact it has had.
For me personally it has been an opportunity to have a strong connection point with my 18-year old son because we are fans and have watched all of the Marvel movies and TV shows together since the original “Iron Man”. It has been a great bonding opportunity, which is sometimes a challenge for parents of teens. For that alone I owe a debt of gratitude to one of our featured speakers at this year’s Portland Creative Conference: Brian Michael Bendis.
Brian is a superstar within the world of comics. Just look at his bio and credits. He not only writes many of the comic books, he also consults on many of the movies.
The audience at the Portland Creative Conference will once again have a unique opportunity to get inside the head of someone at the top of their field and learn about their creative process, challenges, collaborations, etc. Read more about Brian here.
